Mid-July PSA
Warning: This PSA might be little gross, but it could help those suffering from Itchy Head Syndrome (IHS) so read it and spread the gospel.
For some time now (a few years at least) I've had an itchy head. This is not dandruff. Flaking does not occur. This is an itch on the top of my head, very near my part, that would itch so badly I decided to give it a name - Itchy Head Syndrome (IHS).
I won't bore you with my long and painful journey to find a solution for my IHS. I will, however, lead you to the cure:
Step 1. Go to your bathroom and get your shampoo bottle.
Step 2. Read the ingredients.
Step 3. Notice the ingredient " sodium laureth sulfate" or "sodium lauryl ether sulfate."
Step 4. Go here and read all about it.
Step 5. Drive yourself on down to the local drugstore and buy some of this.
Step 6. Be sure to include things like chocolate or wine in the gift basket you send me.
Jack likes M&M's.
People, your shampoo contains a chemical that is a known irritant, strips the natural moisture off your skin, and may be a carcinogen. Why are you putting it on your head? Oh, and it's in your soap too. And lots of other products that you use everyday. You've been warned.
PS G'Dad and Aunt Di suffer from the IHS as well, so I've put them on to the good shampoo. G'Dad thinks his head is less itchy. The jury is still out on Aunt Di.
