The vacation: part one

Seems like forever ago, but the Family Jax took a little vacation a couple of weeks ago. Said vacation was actually a three part extravaganza broken down like this:

Part One - Grandpa J's House
Part Two - Family Reunion in Philly

Part Three - Cousin Karen's wedding in Lake Tahoe

Without further ado, Part One . . . Grandpa J has a dock that goes way out into the bay. There are some cool things to look at (jellies!) under the dock.

Then, even more exciting is Grandpa J's boat!

Jack actually had a nice time on the boat. As you can see, I am embracing the vacation attitude. Jack is trying to eat me. Maybe he was hungry.

Of course, each day we hit the playground. This particular playground came with a boat! That you could pretend to drive! Jack took the opportunity to practice his stretching.

There was also a sand box with toys. How cool is that that no one steals the toys? Check out the sweaty head on Jack. Did I mention that it was hot? And humid? What is up with that?

One night, we all went out to eat at the local restaurant. Um, Jack loves crab cakes. That's all I have to say about that.

A couple of days, we spent the afternoon at the pool. I let Jack have an ice cream cone and this is what happened:

I almost forgot! We had the chance to visit mecca - twice. That's right folks, Dunkin' Donuts. We used to have D&D in our city long time ago, but then they all left in the 80's. And I was left without a.) vanilla cream donuts that make you cry they are so good and b.) the best coffee in the known universe. While we were there we hit up the D&D twice. (And cousin Sandi hooked us up on The Vacation: Part Two!)

All in all, we had a great week visiting Grandpa J and Nana. Can't wait for next year!
